The safe, secure way to use your credit card online

Not being a US resident, it was difficult for me in the past to set up an American merchant account to allow my customers the convenience of paying online by credit card. With Worldpay, however, geographical location is not a problem. They are a worldwide organization and an important part of the The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, the 5th biggest banking group in the world. As such, their payment solutions are trusted and reliable. There is not the slightest danger of your card details being compromised as all transactions are conducted on the Worldpay server, which is totally and rigorously secure. Unfortunately, because of the complexities of credit card fraud in certain third-world countries, I can only accept credit card payments from US residents with US-based accounts.

That's the good news. The bad news is that this convenience comes at a price. Every time I take payment by credit card, around 6% of the total value of the transaction will go to cover the annual fees, per-transaction service charges and settlement charges. Now I know this may sound a little high, but given that this is not a conventional sort of merchant account, it's the best I could do.

I'd like to absorb this total amount myself, but, with the limited size of my operation, I just don't have that kind of money. I could, of course, pass the entire 6% hike on to the customer -- after all, it's for his convenience, isn't it? But this doesn't sound too fair either and won't do a lot to foster customer goodwill. So I've decided that the only fair way would be a compromise: split the difference i.e. I'll pay 3% and the customer pays the other 3%. That way, everyone's happy and no-one loses too much.

If you have ever paid online by credit card, then you will be familiar with the ease and convenience of the payment procedure. In this case, all you need to do is access the appropriate online Worldpay order-form by clicking on this link or on the appropriate link in the Order Forms section, or on the image alongside. Fill in the order-form as normal, not forgetting to consult the Holster/Weapon Availability Chart to make sure there are holsters available for your weapon. Once you are sure the form is filled in correctly to your entire satisfaction, click the Submit Order Form button located near the bottom of the page, as illustrated below. This sends your order to me by email and automatically brings up a screen confirming your submission. I will, additionally, confirm receipt of the order by email. From there, use your Back button or the link provided to return to the Order Form

Now enter the order total and your email address in the two boxes just above the Worldpay logo (see above), and ensure that cookies are "enabled" in your browser. Then click on the Worldpay logo to take you to their secure server. Here you will be asked for your credit card and billing details. Once complete, you will receive email confirmation of the transaction from Worldpay. And that's it! You may now use your Back button to continue browsing the Horseshoe website.
