I've always been reluctant to get rid of these two holsters, mainly for sentimental reasons -- not only because they look so good, but also because they'll probably be the last two of this model I'll ever make. However, common sense (and my wife) have prevailed, so I've decided to put them up for sale. It is important to note that both holsters have been blocked to a Smith & Wesson model 19 with a six-inch barrel. They will not accept any other model of revolver. To force one in would sprain the spring and totally ruin the holster.
I have decided that a fair price for either of these holsters would be $390.00 USD each, and that includes delivery by registered airmail tracked and signed post. I know that sounds like a lot, but given the work that went into making them in the first place, and the fact that they are the last two available, I think it very fair.
These shoulder holsters, one Saddle Tan, one Cordovan (model SHR), were once a standard item in my product line, but have long since been discontinued. These two were probably made back in the mid-seventies. Crafted from top-grade full-grain English saddle leather and fully lined with luxurious suede to protect the weapon from rubbing against the carbon-steel double spring. The spring provides positive weapon retention, yet gives maximum snap-out speed for a fast, smooth draw. A contoured profile provides full grip clearance. A one inch wide rear strap with one-way snap secures the holster during the draw. The soft leather shoulder harness and elastic back strap allow for some vertical and rake positioning. If truth be told, the cylinder cutout doesn't really serve any useful purpose, but it doesn't half look sexy!
